FISHING DERBY

Sunday, June 9th
10am-2pm
Roosevelt Beach Pavilion, Yankee Springs Recreation Area

Join us on Sunday, June 9th at Yankee Springs Recreation Area for the DSAWM Fishing Derby. This fun, family-friendly event is open to DSAWM members of all ages and, because it’s free fishing weekend, no one needs a fishing license. Veteran anglers will be on site to educate on fishing rules and etiquette and teach lessons, from learning how to fish for the first time to more advanced tips to catch those larger fish in the lake. Equipment and bait will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your personal gear if you have it. Prizes will be awarded for biggest and smallest fish and many other fun categories. Families are encouraged to stay for a cookout and enjoy the rest of the park for a hike or swim.

Please note: This event is free, however you must pay to enter the park ($9) or have the Recreation Passport with your license registration.
