Join a Committee
Help us to continue our mission by joining one of our committees. Joining a committee is typically less of a time commitment than a Board position but offers an opportunity to directly impact the work we do. We are always looking for individuals to help in the following areas:
We are dedicated to including everyone’s voices in all of the programming and services we offer. Members and community leaders have the opportunity to serve on various committees to direct and inform the future of our organization.
First Call
Are you a parent that wants to mentor other new parents as they receive their diagnosis and join our community. This group undergoes training from the national First call program to answer questions from new parents and celebrate their new bundle of joy with the delivery of welcome baskets.
Education
Interested in helping families navigate the IEP process or informing special education policy? Want to help design some supplemental educational programming. Join this committee to help deliver resources and solutions to help families throughout their educational journey.
Medical Outreach
Connect with medical providers and ensure that they are providing our community with the most up-to-date accurate information. Additionally, work to develop guides for different stages to life to disseminate to our families. Reinforce thorough and quality medical care for our members.

Join the DSAWM Foundation in planning the annual Kentucky Derby themed gala, Winner’s Cup.
