While DSAWM celebrates and advocates for our community every day, October provides a platform for us to join with Down syndrome advocacy organizations across the country in recognizing our members’ abilities and accomplishments. Join the celebration by sharing your story using the hashtag #thisabilityGR. Every Friday we will select a story to share on our social media.
DSAWM families are invited to cheer on Grace Christian University soccer as they take on Lincoln Christian. The event includes free entry to the soccer game, a door prize for families with Down syndrome, popcorn, and members can shoot a penalty kick on the field at halftime. Members with Down syndrome will also have the opportunity to walk out with the team and sit on the team bench during the game! Click here for details.
This is a private kids’ night out event just for members of DSAWM. Parents can enjoy a well-deserved respite, and the kids will have a blast in Gymco’s happy, supportive, and inclusive environment. It’s 3-hours of fun, with crafts, a snack time, and lots of time to play & socialize with friends. Click here for details.
