designed to provide individuals with Down syndrome social
awareness and friendship skills so they may better navigate
their community. |

Social Awareness & the Application of
Social Skills
The Program The program will cover such
topics as safe interaction with strangers, carrying on a two-way
conversation, understanding facial cues and body language, developing social skills required by employers and more. Participants will have
an opportunity to practice their skills with periodic field trips into
the community.
Who can Attend?
- Teens and Young Adults with Down
syndrome
When and Where?
- Details on the day of the week and time
are forthcoming.
- The program will be held at BRAINS,
3351 Eagle Run Dr NE, Grand Rapids

What is the Cost?
- The cost of the class has not yet been
determined. If you are interested in enrolling your child in the class,
please complete the Enrollment form and return it to the DSAWM.
Other Pertinent Information
What About Family Vacations?
- Unfortunately, therapists are NOT able
to schedule around individual vacation times. We ask that families
commit to all of the 6-week sessions.
- No discounts will be given for missed
sessions.
What is the Cancellation Policy?
- If cancellation occurs before May 15,
you will be refunded 100% of the fees paid.
- NO REFUNDS will be given after May 15.
What Do I Need To Send In?
- Completed Enrollment Form.

- Financial assistance will be provided
