Through a child-centered, activity-based program the Infant/Toddler Playgroup incorporates learning through play.

Play with a Purpose - Infant/Toddler Playgroup

The Program Play with a Purpose is designed to provide an environment rich in communication, gross and fine motor (including body awareness), sensory, and social experiences (turn-taking, sharing, following directions).

Who can Attend?

  • Children, ages 12-60 months
  • Parent (caregiver) participation in the class is required.

When and Where?

  • Weekly group sessions comprised of up to 6 children and their parent/caregiver will be held. Children will be grouped by age - 12-36 months and 36-60 months.
  • Classes begin Friday, June 20 and conclude Friday, August 1 for a total of 6 weeks. Class WILL NOT be held on Friday, July 4th.
  • Class will be from 9:00 – 10:15am for infants 12-36 months and from 10:30 – 12:00 for toddlers 36-60 months.
  • The program will be held at BRAINS, 3351 Eagle Run Dr NE, Grand Rapids (click here for map).

What is the Cost?

  • Payment of $60.00 is due upon enrollment.

Other Pertinent Information

Facility Restrictions

  • As waiting room space is limited at the locations, we ask that families limit the number of people accompanying the child to one (1) parent or caregiver.

What About Family Vacations?

  • Unfortunately, therapists are NOT able to schedule around individual vacation times. We ask that families commit to all of the 6-week sessions.
  • No discounts will be given for missed sessions.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

  • If cancellation occurs before May 15, you will be refunded 100% of the fees paid.
  • NO REFUNDS will be given after May 15.

What Do I Need To Send In?

  • Check or money order for the enrollment fee(s).

Due Date The Enrollment Form & Enrollment Fee are due by APRIL 15, 2008

Classes fill up on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Please do NOT wait for your child’s 2008-09 IEP/IFSP or teacher’s report to mail in your forms. Mail in your child’s most recent (2007-08) evaluation. DO NOT DELAY.
