Program Funding Policy Statement & Reimbursement Form

The Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan endeavors to sponsor programs that meet the educational, social/emotional and physical well-being of its members.  Particularly important is to find and sponsor programs that are cost effective and serve a wide range of our members needs.  Given that sponsored programs cannot meet the needs of everyone, the Association will review any request that the meets the above criteria.

Funding for DSAWM sponsored programs will be provided and paid for at the discretion of the Association; individual programs will be reimbursed up to 80% of the program cost, depending on available funds.  The funding of all programs and the family reimbursed maximum will be determined annually based on the success of the previous years Buddy Walk.  All funding of programs will be on a first-come, first serve basis and will continue until funds are no longer available.

If you are interested in receiving funding for an individual program, please complete the Program Reimbursement Request and submit it to the board at your earliest convenience.
