Artist Statement:
"I love horses. I like to watch races on TV. The Kentucky Derby is my favorite. I enjoy the stories, the walk over with the families, saddling, the jockeys, the colors, Riders Up! The post parade is wonderful. The horses proud, strong, beautiful. The ponies are like Best Buddies staying calm. Appaloosas, buckskins, palominos, amazing spotted ponies, grays and pintos. The best kind of parade. They load the gate. The bell rings. The horses jump out into light and air. It is so exciting to watch. When I paint I feel like I am part of the Derby too."
