Become a DSAWM Member

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of, or renewing your membership in, the Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan!

Membership dues are $15.00 annually.  The Association will send out a renewal notice each spring.

If your child with Down syndrome is age one (1) or younger, your membership is free of charge for one year.  Please complete the printable Membership Form and mail it to the DSAWM.

If your family would like to become a member of, or renew your membership in, the Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan, but is unable to afford the membership dues, please contact the DSAWM.  We will be happy to waive your membership fee.

If you are an educational, medical or other professional who works with persons who have Down syndrome, you are eligible to receive the DSAWM newsletter, DSA Press, and other select mailings free of charge.  If you are interested, please contact the DSAWM.

The DSAWM is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization. 
Membership dues and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.

Definition of Membership

A Voting Member...

•  Is an individual with Down
    syndrome or the parent or
    caregiver of a person with
    Down syndrome
•  Resides in the DSAWM
    service area as defined by
    the Board of Directors
•  May participate in all
    activities, services and
    programs of the DSAWM
•  May vote on all matters as
    put forth by the By-laws

A Non-Voting Member...

•  May not request Financial
    Assistance Funds
•  May not participate in
    programs specific to persons
    with Down syndrome
•  May not vote on matters
    as put forth by the By-laws
•  May participate in all
    activities, services and
    programs, except those
    listed above
